£2.2million home improvement plans underway in Hartlepool

The improvement work, which is part of Thirteen’s £31million investment plans, will see 284 homes receive new kitchens, 208 homes have double glazed uPVC windows fitted and 361 ventilation units installed, to improve the air quality in the homes. 

The team of more than 20 trade operatives and partner sub-contractors started work on the West View estate in April, with the full scheme expected to be complete in March 2022.

Thirteen’s investment area manager Liam Hill said: “We’re making good progress. The work brings so many benefits to our customers and it genuinely means a lot to them.

“The work we’re doing to fit new windows improves the appearance of estates, while increasing the energy efficiency of our homes. Meanwhile, the positive input ventilation systems being installed by Envirovent improve air quality by supplying fresh filtered air into the home.

“The new kitchens have a huge impact for our customers. This is typically because kitchens are the heart of a home where families come together to cook and spend quality time together.

“This is the biggest internal scheme we are currently working on and we’re looking forward to continuing to improve our customers’ homes as the work continues.”
